You may find it strange, but it’s true: The producer of Konkona Sen's latest film (Page 3), Bobby Pushkarna doesn’t want a repeat performance from the petite actress. “After completing this film, I won’t be working with her again,” says Bobby. For all you eager-beaver
gossip-mongers out there, this is not a classic case of a full-blown Bollywood feud. There’s logic in the scenario. According to Bobby, the actress is too good to be wasted in an insignificant role, and “I don’t have any meaty role for her in my future projects that I’m planning right now,” he says. “I don’t want to take her in my film just to add glamour like any other actress and waste her immense talent. She’s an actress of the Smita Patil and Shabana Azmi calibre,” Bobby explains. Wow! A bigger compliment could not have been paid.
