Producer Bobby Pushkarna is on cloud nine ever since he received the official intimation that his film Page 3 won the National Award for Best Film of the year.

“It’s much more than an Oscar to me because it has be given by the President of India. Frankly speaking, I was sure that one of the lead performances in Page 3 would be awarded,” said the producer.

“But when I was informed that the film had been nominated for the best film award, I felt elated. I share the credit with the entire cast and crew and also director Madhur Bhandarkar who conceptualised such a bold, soul-stirring idea,” he added.

According to industry sources, the producer has signed Mona “Jassi” Singh to play an author-backed lead role in his next movie Main To Chalaa. He plans to start shooting the film in October this year with a new director.

The change in the choice of director has led to speculation of a row between Bhandarkar and Pushkarna. Rumour mill has it that there were ego clashes between the two during the film’s release. However, Pushkarna squashed all such rumours saying, “We shall work on yet another hard-hitting movie in future.”
